David Thurber

David Thurber is a Fiduciary Wealth Advisor at Strittmatter Wealth Management Group. His mission is to create a common-sense strategy for wealth planning and investing that is custom-tailored to each client’s specific situation. His strength is taking complex ideas and strategies and breaking them down into an actionable strategy for each client. “Give me your financial puzzle pieces and we can create the picture on the box that you imagine!” Because David utilizes some of the best financial planning tools in the industry and has a team of professional consultants, his clients can rest assured that they are, getting the best advice available.

David is an “independent” advisor which allows him to offer access to any investment or insurance product available and is not limited to proprietary company products. With David’s background as an instructor in the military, along with his 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, you can be assured that he will help you get from where you are to where you want to be and will help make sure you understand every step involved in your journey. David specializes in Retirement Planning, Risk Management, and Investment Management for his clients.

David graduated Magna Cum Laude from Troy State University while serving in the USAF. He is a Desert Storm War Veteran and taught the four-month-long F15 Avionics Technician Course at the Lowry AFB USAF Tech School in Colorado. After the Military, David worked as an Area Manager for a Fortune 500 Company and was responsible for Profit and Loss for an organization with over 300 million in assets. 

Most recently David has been responsible for advising thousands of families on the best ways to manage their most significant financial assets. His unique perspective as an educational presenter and his humorous outlook on life make him a sought-after speaker and presenter in Real Estate and Financial Circles. David is a Fiduciary and an Investor Advisor Representative for Strittmatter Wealth Management Group, LLC.

David and his wife of 30+ years live in Weatherford TX. They planned and built their home a few years ago, and many great memories are made with their kids (two who are married and live in the area, and one who is graduating from UNT) and their Golden and Bernie Doodles. When David is not helping families plan their financial future, he enjoys traveling with his family, playing golf, reading a good book, and tinkering with old cars in his shop.
